Why is everybody talking about video marketing? What is all this about?
More money to spend for a small business owner!!!
‘90% of customers say video helps them make a buying decision and 64% of customers say that seeing a video makes them more likely to buy!’ -Forbes
Like we don’t have enough bills to pay?
Web Design, Branding, IT stuff, encrypting computers, updating websites, Facebook, Google Ads and etc. And what about other forms of advertising?
Like local newspaper or local radio that we just can’t seem to let go off because we are so used to advertise there …
It’s so confusing, and overwhelming…
And I don’t blame you for getting frustrated.
And if you go online and try to Google which form of advertising is better for you…
ALMOST everybody will tell you that you need to be on Facebook, people doing Google Ads will tell you that you need to have Google Ads, then there is blogging and now there is a new form of advertising going around called Video Marketing.
So what to do?
Well the answer is DO what is the best for you. And NO, you don’t need to be on every social media platform.
Especially, if the only reason you are trying to get on there is because your biggest rival (competitor) Johnny is on there.
The answer is to advertise where you will get the biggest Return On Investment (ROI). But do you know where do you get your biggest ROI?
Do you measure it? If you don’t know how much does it cost you to get a new lead, and a new customer you probably need to stop reading this blog post RIGHT NOW and do some maths. How much did you spend on advertising last month, and how many new customers has that advertising brought you?
My wild guess is if you started calculating your ROI and looked at your numbers you would be ‘pleasantly surprised’ on how much money you ‘are burning’ on things that don’t bring you any customers in and the only reason you are doing it because of a habit…
Now once you get rid of some expenses in your head that don’t bring you any results we can talk about video marketing now…J
So why should you consider video marketing? Well, first of all if you are going to do a content marketing in your videos you can use those videos AGAIN and AGAIN…
Content marketing is where you educate your customers about the benefits of your products/services, like what color to choose? What type of shower to install? What material to choose? Why carpet is better then wooden flooring and vice versa.
You get it…
So before you even start filming sit down and map out your strategy for the first 10 videos. Your videos SHOULDN’T include price or talk about how great you are, or that you been in business 3000 years nobody cares about that…
Your videos should only focus on one thing ONLY ‘how your product or service is going to solve a problem that a customer has or will improve their life by getting it…’
Let’s say do few different kinds of videos targeting different types of your customers, solving different types of problems your customers have and put them on different social media channels like Facebook and YouTube.
And you are already miles ahead of your competitors.
Most of your competitors do ads NEW ARRIVALS, SPECIAL OFFER, or tell that they are the BEST, market leaders and etc.
And customers are really sick of those type of offers, they don’t even remember who is doing what ANYMORE…
Video ads on YouTube is probably one of the CHEAPEST forms of advertising, it will cost you anywhere from 1ct to 6ct per view depending on your niche.
And the view is counted as a view after a person chose to watch it despite having an option to skip it after 4seconds.
Facebook video advertising gives you a huge RETARGETING opportunity. You can retarget people based on how long have they watched your video. Is it 25%, 50 % or 90% of the time? If somebody watched your video 50% of the time, don’t you think that prospect should see your ads again?
So this is just a brief INTRO into video marketing. If you need help with implementing all this let us know. We would be happy to help you.
